Video: Tolkien’s drinking ditty is Lord of the Sings

I have read little about E.V. Gordon and his influence on Tolkien as far as I know. There is a book, Songs for the Philologists, to which Tolkien and Gordon contributed: some of them must have had echoes in LotR and Silmarillion.
