Hobbit Day: September 22, 2014 - Party Tree and Fireworks
Guess what is exactly four weeks from today... that's RIGHT! HOBBIT DAY!
We're going to make a real big to-do about it here at Entmoot. Party Tree, Fireworks... we'll even take suggestions. Of course there will be LOTS of food. Orders are already streaming out... to the entire Shire, and well beyond to all the friendly realms of Middle Earth. So - put it on your calendars! Then; come one, come all - for Hobbit Day 2014 at Entmoot!

Not sure I'll be able to make it - I may be a little busy (the baby is due the 27th, but if he wanted to be born on Bilbo's and Frodo's birthday, I wouldn't complain)...

 HEY! Let's have a contest: Who can come up with the Best Elvish Word for Chocolate? Use either Sindarin or Quenya!  Uhhh... for those so inclined, you can work up one in Orcish.

Chocolate?
I'm SO there! However, I might be over the borders in the land of Mordor still - that date is 3 days after my last chemo treatment and I'm typically in the throes of the side-effects. But it IS my last treatment, so I'm definitely heading towards the Shire, so please chuck some chocolate over the borders for me to catch! Thanks, Val, for bringing that up!

Well - in true-Hobbit fashion, I believe we're going to run this party for two weeks! Yessir... all the way up to October 6.

I can't compete in the contest for chocolate since I know no Quenya, but I propose a tea contest. Who can think up the best flavours?
